The starting days of the first MTS 250 are history. Yesterday, poker fans had the last chance to qualify for the event in Vienna.
At the Montesino, 156 players (20 of them from phase 1 tournaments) bought in and made 35 re-entries. At Wien Simmering, it was 74 participants (22 from phase 1 tournaments) with 12 re-entries. 54 poker fans (1 from the phase 1 tournaments) then still tackled the Turbo Heat in the evening (7 re-entries).
€ 250,000 are in the prize pool
The tournament thereby registered altogether 727 day 1 and 2051 phase 1 entries. The guaranteed prize pool of € 250,000 will be played for from today. 94 players could qualify for the final at the Montesino.
Yesterday, 3 players managed a double qualification. Peter Hanke, Fabian Ene and Filipe Goncalves can thus be happy with the bonus of € 1,500.
Day 2 starts today at 3 pm at the Montesino. 91 players have qualified for this. Each of them is ensured a prize money of € 600, € 45,000 awaits the winner. The blinds start with 10k/20k.
A new chip leader
The chip lead changed again yesterday. Josef Schmölz is now leading the participants into day 2 with 3,065,000 chips. Pedro Ventura follows with 2,930,000, ahead of Oswin Ziegelbecker with 2,705,000 chips.
