The last starting days of the Concord Masters 2019 are just around the corner. Yesterday there was again a strong influx of players at the CCC Wien Simmering. The guaranteed prize pool of € 500,000 will probably be significantly exceeded.
Yesterday, 207 participants attended and they bought 72 re-entries. 47 players had also qualified for the start via a Phase 1 tournament. Thereby, the Concord Masters accounts for 2,955 Phase 1 entries and 883 Day 1 entries ahead of the penultimate starting day. € 318,195 are already in the prize pool guaranteed at € 500,000.
106 players are in the final, among them Christian Leichtfried, Jürgen Molnar, Walter Matura, Florian Schleps, Mario Zwanzleitner, Pavel Chalupka, Wolfgang Foglar and Karl Schindlauer.
There was a change of leadership at the top of the chip counts. Benjamin Mekinulow took over with 2,655,000 chips, ahead of Yang Wang with 2,585,000 and Benjamin Levit with 2,150,000 chips.
Who will win the Highroller Event?
Yesterday, six players participated in the Concord Masters Highroller event and bought one re- entry. Currently, Adem Marjanovic (AT), Oliver Feldmann (CH) and Tamas Janicsak (HU) are taking part. The decision will be made today from 4 pm. Buy-in/re-entry is still possible in the first level.
The programme for today
Turbo Phase 1 tournaments will already start at noon at the CCC Wien Simmering and at the Montesino. The Phase 1 tournaments will start at 7 pm at Poker Royale and at the CCC Lugner City.
The Day 1 will start at 5 pm starts at the CCC Wien Simmering, at the CCC Bregenz and at the Montesino. The conclusion is a Hyperturbo Day 1 at 10 pm at the Montesino.
